- Close all MultiCharts applications before starting the installation process.
- It is recommended to install the operating system on Windows 10 or above. Please run the installer as an administrator. Installing the "Historical Data Package" will overwrite your existing data. Please back up important data beforehand.
- The new Capital Futures quote component only supports MultiCharts version 12.0 or above.
- Once you upgrade to Capital Futures MultiCharts 12.0, your computer can no longer use versions below 9.0. Reinstalling older versions of Capital Futures and their corresponding quote components will no longer function properly. Please confirm that you are ready to upgrade to MC 12.0 before proceeding.
- We recommend installing Capital Futures MC 12.0 on a separate computer to familiarize yourself with trading operations under MC 9.0 before transitioning to your main trading machine.
- The order component, quote component, and historical data package of Capital Futures MC 12.0 are not compatible with versions below MC 9.0. Please perform a complete installation of all MC 12.0 components and update both the quote and order components simultaneously.
- Functions, indicators, and signals in Capital Futures MC 12.0 are compatible with those in MC 9.0. You may export backups and import them directly into MC 12.0. However, MC 12.0’s workspaces are not compatible with those from MC 9.0 or earlier, so product settings within workspaces must be reconfigured.
- In the MC 12.0 trade tracking window, only trades executed through Capital Futures MC 12.0 will be recorded under accounts, orders, account positions, strategy positions, and logs. Trades made through other platforms (e.g., Strategy King) will not be shown.
- It is recommended to use chart trading or automated trading in Capital Futures MC 12.0. For all account-related information (orders, fills, open positions, equity), please refer to other Capital Futures platforms (e.g., Strategy King) to ensure your trading rights and information accuracy.
- The built-in trading module's default rollover settings in Capital Futures MC 12.0 are for reference only (e.g., contracts rolled over to January 2024). If you manually trade domestic or foreign futures, please familiarize yourself with the trading module and rollover settings to ensure accurate product execution.
- The order execution mode in Capital Futures MC 12.0 varies depending on broker-side configurations. If you do not require day-trading or other advanced features, please always select "Auto".
- To enable international quotes, go to QM >> Tools >> Data Source >> Capital Futures >> Settings >> check "International Quote Permission", and then open Capital Futures MC.

The built-in PowerLanguage is a natural programming language designed for ease of use in developing technical indicators and trading strategies. Beginners can learn it in a short time and use it with ease. For API users, it offers another tool to enhance development efficiency and strategy performance.
Clients can directly download the software, and immediately access real-time data, full product quotations, and fast strategy-based order execution—all in one seamless process, eliminating the hassle of cobbling together multiple systems.
Once your strategy is developed and a trading signal is generated, the system will automatically send the order to Capital’s trading server according to your settings.
This allows you to seize every potential profit opportunity and enjoy the benefits of algorithmic trading. It also enables the execution of high-frequency strategies, such as arbitrage, reducing the risk of missed trades.
You can dedicate each monitor to a specific chart or window. Multiple windows can be spread across different monitors for simultaneous observation, ensuring no signal is missed.
If your computer supports multi-core processing, the system will automatically assign different charts to separate CPU cores to maximize performance and improve signal generation efficiency.
To protect the hard work you've put into developing your trading strategies, Capital MultiCharts provides a feature to convert your code into encrypted binary format. Others cannot reverse-engineer it, and you can even set expiration dates when sharing it—keeping your proprietary methods safe and private.
Capital MultiCharts users can access customer support through Capital’s existing service channels. They are also given priority access to free or discounted training sessions organized by Capital, helping users improve their strategy trading skills.
Capital MultiCharts users who meet the criteria are eligible to participate in various promotional campaigns (please refer to specific campaign details or consult your account manager) to help reduce software usage costs.
MC historical data consists of two parts:
1. Data prior to 2011/06/17: A 10-year historical data package covering both domestic and international futures. Tick, minute, and daily data are all available.
2. Data after 2011/06/17: Can be backfilled from the server. Tick data: Domestic: Available from March 1st to the present. International: Available from January 1st to the present.
Minute Data: Domestic: 1 year. International: From 06/07 to present.
Daily Data: Domestic: 1 year. International: From 06/07 to present.
step1
Open QM and go to Data Sources.
step2
Select Capital Futures, then click Settings.
step3
Uncheck Tick-assembled minute data, check Update status bar info, then save.
step4
Open MC, create a new chart, select the product, and define the missing date range.
step5
From the View menu, click Reload Data. You can confirm the data is being backfilled by checking the Event Log pane at the bottom of QM.
Backfilling data takes time. As long as you see data updating in QM, please be patient.
Most standard trading applications provided by brokers or futures firms often cannot satisfy specific strategy trading requirements. As algorithmic trading becomes more popular due to faster execution and better tools, demand has grown for more flexible solutions.

No. Only the main MultiCharts program’s built-in backtesting features are available.
There are two ways to switch data source modes:
1. Launch MC when QM is closed.
2. If QM is closed and no workspaces are open, go to File → Preferences → Data Source Mode to change settings.
Three Data Source Modes in MC:
1. Real-time Mode: Uses local historical data + real-time quotes to draw charts.
2. Real-time + Backfill Mode: Uses local historical + real-time data. If any data is missing, it is backfilled automatically or manually from the server.
3. Offline Mode: Uses only local historical data to draw charts (after-market mode).
Helpful Tips from the MultiCharts Assistant
If backfill is checked, MC will request missing data from the server. If it fails to retrieve it, the system assumes the data doesn't exist but is still valid.
If backfill is unchecked, MC will try to retrieve the missing data as tick data. The upper-left corner of MC will show backfill status during this process.
1. QM stores data in three separate formats: Tick, Minute, and Daily — each works independently.
2. QM always collects tick data by default. If you want to store it as minute or daily data, be sure to check the corresponding boxes in the "Receiving Quotes" field.
Only three syntax differences exist between TradeStation’s EasyLanguage and MC’s PowerLanguage:
sell → sellshort (for short entries)
exitlong → sell (for closing long positions)
exitshort → buytocover (for closing short positions)
1. Make sure to check the built-in indicator alert function in MC.
2. In your custom indicator code, you must use the Alert syntax to trigger the sound. Open your indicator script and confirm it includes an Alert call.
Note: Both conditions must be met to hear the sound.
If you’re using Windows Vista or Windows 7, you must run TeamViewer as Administrator for the remote user to be able to control your MC screen.
- Before using Capital MultiCharts, traders must pay close attention to the settings to ensure the correct execution of strategies. Any issues resulting from incorrect settings are the sole responsibility of the trader.
- In highly active market conditions, price fluctuations during order matching may occur rapidly. The system may not be able to immediately determine execution or may experience delays. Traders must bear the associated risks themselves.
- The real-time quote information provided by Capital MultiCharts is not intended as an inducement for futures trading and does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of the data.
- If any disruptions such as system disconnection, power outage, or network congestion occur while using the company’s electronic trading system, resulting in the inability to send, receive, or delays in order transmissions, please switch to manual order placement. Investors are advised to evaluate the risks of electronic trading themselves.
- The built-in programs in Capital MultiCharts do not guarantee profit. All system parameters must be set by the investor, and the trader is fully responsible for the use of built-in modules or indicators.
- To avoid order execution prices deviating from the fair market price due to liquidity issues, our company does not accept market orders from domestic options contract buyers. Investors must use limit orders instead.
- Futures trading involves a certain degree of risk. Traders should first assess their own financial capacity and risk tolerance. Past performance or future projections do not guarantee future results.
- To use Capital MultiCharts, clients must sign a Futures Advisory Agreement and become a registered MultiCharts member.
