EUREX Exchange Legal Entity Identifier (LEI) Requirement
Starting from December 4, 2017 (Monday), EUREX Exchange requires all corporate traders to possess a Legal Entity Identifier (LEI). This requirement is in accordance with the European Securities and Markets Authority's (ESMA) MiFID II regulations, which took effect on January 3, 2018. MiFID II regulations
Our company will verify the LEI information of corporate clients as required. From December 4, 2017, any corporate clients who have not provided an LEI or whose LEI has expired without renewal will no longer be able to place orders for EUREX products. Corporate clients wishing to trade EUREX products are advised to obtain an LEI promptly, complete the annual renewal process, and provide our company with the relevant LEI information in advance to avoid any disruption in trading rights.
