Intellectual Property Management and Annual Execution Status

I. Intellectual Property Management Plan

The vision of Capital Futures is "to become the most customer-touching digital financial company." Starting in the year 109 (Republic Era), the company began its digital transformation and designated 110 (Republic Era) as the "Year of Digital Growth." Moving forward, Capital Futures will actively promote financial innovation to meet various customer needs. Given that intellectual property rights are the foundation for brand and innovation, the company's intellectual property management strategy is based on business promotion and digital transformation needs. This involves establishing a strong patent and trademark moat through patent layout and trademark acquisition, which helps create commercial value, avoid intellectual property infringement disputes, strengthen the company's competitive advantage in the market, provide customers with a better experience, and ultimately help shareholders profit.

  • Patent Management
In response to digital transformation needs, the company, focusing on innovative technologies in financial services, commissions a patent firm to handle patent applications. Depending on subsequent needs, the company will also engage in patent layout or patent protection. When signing contracts with partner vendors, the agreements stipulate that the contract objects or execution matters do not infringe on others' patent rights.
  • Trademark Management
To maintain the company’s market competitiveness, the company registers trademarks for its key product names to establish uniqueness. In cases of potential infringement on the company’s trademark rights, the company will engage a law firm to take timely measures to prevent such infringements. The company will also regularly review the validity of its trademarks and handle renewals as needed.
  • Copyright Management
The company stipulates in employment contracts that the moral rights and economic rights of any works related to their duties created by employees during their employment belong to the company. When signing contracts with partner vendors, the agreements stipulate that the contract objects or execution matters do not infringe on others' copyrights.
  • Trade Secret Management
1.The company has established procedures for the protection and management of trade secrets. To enhance the protection of trade secrets, each department within the company is required to create a trade secret inventory and implement appropriate control measures for documents related to trade secrets.
2.The employment contracts and company work rules between the company and employees contain confidentiality clauses, including provisions for the return of materials upon termination and confidentiality obligations. Individuals who violate these obligations will be liable for damages and subject to related disciplinary actions. In the event of a trade secret infringement, the company will take proactive legal measures and conduct an analysis of the causes and methods of the infringement to enhance the protection of trade secrets.
The company regularly updates the security of its cybersecurity equipment to reduce the risk of confidential data leaks. When contracting with information suppliers, the company requires them to also sign a confidentiality statement to ensure the effective management of information confidentiality.
